How do I search for a book (or other research materials) held by Indiana University libraries?

Answer

Back in the old days, library users relied on their library's card catalog to find books, journals, archives, and media.  While today's electronic access is much more efficient and quick, searching can be more complicated and sometimes less forgiving.  Many of our users go directly to library website links to ejournals, ebooks, and databases and have forgotten about the descendant of the card catalog, the online catalog or OPAC (Online Patron Access).  IUCAT is Indiana University's OPAC.  Generally, basic searching in IUCAT is intuitive.  But there are instructions in Knowledge Base for more refined searching.
